Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I am Chuck Terrell and I am the youth pastor, the webmaster, and I preach the 10am Grounded service here at FUMC Sylacauga. I have been serving as youth pastor since June, 2008, and have added responsibilities along the way.
I am married to the lovely Stephanie and we have three sons: Adam, Luke, and Daniel. Adam is married to Amanda and they have three children: Avery, Will, and Grey. Adam is a registered nurse in the ED at Coosa Valley Medical Center, and Amanda nurses at Goodwater Nursing Home. Luke and Daniel are at Auburn University. Luke is a senior and Daniel is a sophomore. They are members of the Auburn University Marching Band.
Stephanie and I are born and bred Sylacaugans, and are thrilled to be serving First Methodist. We are both registered nurses, and she works full-time at Coosa Valley Medical Center. I still work part time at CVMC as a hospice nurse, and I teach a class at Central Alabama Community College.
I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University. Upon being called into youth ministry, I returned to school and finished in 2014 with a Master's in Christian Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. I am currently approved as a provisional deacon in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Stephanie and the boys and I love the ministry that you have entrusted to us and ask for your prayers for wisdom and discernment as we continue to do our best to answer the call for ministry within the church. Thank you, church, for your unwavering love and support.
